THE INFUSION / Red Horse (Ra Sounds)

  J’avais manqué ce disque à sa sortie en 2004. Il a été enregistré immédiatement après le passage de The Infusion au FIMAV en 2003 et est, en cela, plus représentatif de ce que j’y ai entendu que le premier CD paru chez 33revpermi. Ce groupe a une approche très particulière de l’improvisation: pesante, forte et présentant une combinaison inusité de guitare acoustique (Camel Zekri, au style fortement inspiré par la musique du Maghreb), la basse électrique (Olivier Paquotte, l’homme tonitruant d’Étage 34) et la guitare électrque de Ron Anderson (PAK, Molecules). Du free rock du monde.

  I had missed this CD upon its release in 2004. It was recorded right after The Infusion’s performance at FIMAV in 2003 and, as such, is more representative of what I heard at that show than their first CD released on 33trevpermi. The group’s take on improvisation is peculiar, heavy and loud, with an unusual instrumentation: acoustic guitar (Camel Zekri, whose style borrows strongly from Northern African music), electric bass (Olivier Paquotte, the thundering man from Etage 34), and Ron Anderson’s electric guitar (of PAK and The Molecules).
