PAK / Motel (Ra Sounds)

  J’aime beaucoup ce groupe de Ron Anderson, si puissant et déjanté. Les Stickmen revisités par Palinckx, ou quelque chose du genre! Avec Anderson (guitare), Jesse Krakow (basse) et Keith Abrams (batterie), puis quelques invités, dont la toujours délicieuse Carla Kihlstedt. Des pièces complexes, entre le math rock et le brutal prog, bref des musiques qui tapent, mais pas en 4/4, qui vont vite mais sans s’égarer, qui suivent la participation s’en se laisser enrégimenter par elle.   I really like this group led by Ron Anderson, it’s so powerful and unhinged! Like The Stickmen revisited by Palinckx! With Anderson (guitar), Jesse Krakow (bass) and Keith Abrams (drums), plus a few guests, including the ever-delectable Carla Kihlstedt. Complex pieces that fall between math rock and brutal prog, i.e. tunes that hit hard, but not in 4/4, play fast but don’t get lost, and stay close to the score without being ruled by it. Wow!
