When the Molecules first arrived on the SF Bay-area music scene in 1990, they were the logical extension of the Minutemen, i.e., insane musicianship, odd time signatures, music and lyrics that somehow worked even though logically they shouldn’t, combined with a dead-set punk rock attitude.  The CD in this package contains 29 excellent cuts that the Ron Anderson, Thomas Scandura, John Shiurba lineup recorded between 1997-98 for a never released project called Complete Self Indulgence.  The songs twist and turn like carnival rides gone haywire, or Frank Zappa and King Crimson on bad acid.  The DVD documents the band from their first show in 1990 to their final performance in 1997.  Watch Ron Anderson’s hair change shape!
